Medical Screening Requirement

We require a Medical Screening
(aka a “Good Faith Exam”)
for ALL clients prior to treatment at Tinytox Collab.

What is a Good Faith Exam?
A good faith exam (GFE) is an assessment by a medical professional to evaluate the health and safety of the patient receiving injectable services. It is a HIPAA Compliant, virtual tele-health visit by a provider to "clear" you for our treatments. Although our injectors are highly skilled and qualified to perform your assessment and treatments, a formal good faith exam must be performed by an MD or NP/PA. This virtual platform allows us to stay compliant while providing topnotch injecting services.

But, Michelle, I have had services from you before. WHY do I have to do this now?
Great question. Not only do I value you, but I value your health and safety. It is extremely important to stay compliant and ensure quality care to every. one. of my clients. Because this is a new location, we must have a GFE in your medical record.

So, what do I have to do?
A few days before your appointment, be on the lookout for a text from our Square messaging (phone# 833-231-5479). This will contain a link to sign up for a timeslot with Docuspa. Their hours are 9am-9pm, 7 days a week, so you can choose a time that works best for you. Once you complete it, they’ll send us the exam to clear you for treatment with us.

How long will this take and what do I need for it?
Within a few minutes you will be connected to a live provider that will ask you a series of health screening questions like allergies, medical diagnosis, health history etc. The entire process takes around 10-15 minutes. All you need is a smart phone/computer, internet connection, and a few quiet minutes.

Do I have to pay for this?
No! There is no charge to you for this exam.

When do I have to do it?
This exam MUST be done before your treatment can be performed. There is no exception. If you are unable to do this ahead of time, in most cases we will be able to provide this service in the office before your treatment.

If I can't or didn't do it before my appointment, will I be turned away?
In most cases we can perform your GFE in the office at the time of service. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early in order to accommodate. If you refuse to perform a GFE, unfortunately we will not be able to provide treatments to you.

This is really annoying... DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN EVERY VISIT????
NO! Phew. You have to do this before your first visit and then once a year. Once we receive a thumbs up on your good faith exam, we can safely perform neurotoxins, fillers, and Sculptra.

What if I answer YES to some of the questions (like, Yes I smoke or Yes I drink)?
We ask that you answer honestly. All questions are asked to ensure yours and the injectors safety. Answering yes does not necessarily mean you will be denied treatment.

What if I'm only coming in for a consultation?
We still ask that you do the GFE or we won't be able to provide same day services if you choose.

What if I do the GFE and then cancel my appointment?
No worries! Once you do the GFE it lives in your chart! That just means you won't have to do it again when you rebook your appointment.

Do I need to do this if I’m just coming in for a Diamond Glow or facial/non-injectable service?
NO - the GFE is only required for injectable services (Botox/Dysport, Fillers, Sculptra).
