Rejuvapen

Microneedling with top-of-its-class equipment for incredible results

Your friend’s plastic dermaroller she bought online could never.

What it does:
Microneedling is a treatment where many tiny sterile needles (surprise) create micro-channels in the skin, which stimulates the body to “send all the good stuff” that way!

Essentially, our magic wind, the Rejuvapen, creates this minimal “damage” to the skin. The damage alerts the body’s healing and repairing cells to go all in on the area. Not only do these cells of course repair the new micro-channels of damage, but while they’re there, they spruce things up in the area as a whole, bringing collagen and helpful regenerative cells to the face.

Why we love it:
Microneedling as a whole is a more serious (but still not invasive) treatment that can address several concerns, including: aging & elasticity, texture, scarring, pigmentation, and more. Because the body naturally reduces its production of collagen as we age (starting at 25!), this treatment acts as a little reminder of what’s important… and the Rejuvapen is the scary Russian hitman who delivers the message.

Why you need it:
Put down the “dermaroller” in your bathroom, Barbara. Microneedling in a medical office setting by a professional is the only microneedling treatment you should be having done… for safety/sanitization reasons, but also for results. And microneedling WILL provide results!

Price: $350 per treatment OR a series of 3* (with aftercare kit) for $945.
Now offering exosomes and Biorepeel as an added boost to your microneedling treatment. Ask Kayleigh our esthie bestie for more info.

*Please note: while you can experience results from one treatment, we often use Rejuvapen to achieve truly noticeable, longer-lasting results addressing more serious concerns (versus a quick glow up treatment like a facial!). Because of this, we highly recommend multiple treatments.

Rejuvapen Microneedling FAQs

  • Microneedling, sometimes known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive, nonsurgical procedure that uses several tiny needles to puncture the top layer of the skin, creating micro-channels (ie: damage) to the skin. This damage kicks the body's natural healing process into high gear, sending in regnerative cells and collagen (one of the loveliest things for skin!) to not only heal the new micro-damage, but also to care for the surrounding areas. That's the goal: to make your body focus on the skin/area in a way that sometimes it "forgets" to do as we age.

  • We use Rejuvapen for microneedling treatments because it is able to treat ALL skin types and colors!

People who have the following concerns and want long-lasting results are the best candidates:

    • Signs of aging: fine lines and wrinkles; elasticity
    • Acne: current acne, acne scarring (texture and color)
    • Pigmentation: browns and reds; scarring; melasma
    • Texture: scarring; large pores; dullness; plumpness

Not the best candidates? People with incredibly sensitive skin and active acne.

Not sure if you and Rejuvapen would get along? Schedule a free consult with us.

  • Kayleigh, our skin expert, will chat with you about your concerns and goals, and discuss the treatment with you. After educating you on how the treatment will be and feel, post-appointment possibilities, and aftercare tips, you'll get comfy on the treatment bed (and get tucked in a comfy blanket, if you're into that).

Appointments are booked for 50 minutes. The service itself can last between 30-40 minutes.

Your skin will be cleansed and then numbed with a topical numbing agent. Why? Because even though Rejuvapen is known for being one of the least invasive microneedling devices going into your skin, it's still a bunch of needles, and we still want you to feel as comfortable as possible!

Clients most often describe the treatment itself as "spicy". Like lots of little pokes (because that's literally what it is). Some spots of the face may be more sensitive than others. While "not fun" at times, it should not feel painful.

We finish off the appointment with a 10 minute LED light treatment. This helps with the healing process (and is pretty relaxing).

We'll answer any remaining questions, talk about post-care, and get you on your way!

  • We use a topical numbing cream allllll over the face before starting. We're not just raw doggin' it, we promise!

Clients most often describe the treatment itself as "spicy". Like lots of little pokes (because that's literally what it is). Some spots of the face may be more sensitive than others. While "not fun" at times, it should not feel painful.

  • Immediately after treatment:
You will likely be red. Skin may be sensitive to the touch, but should not be painful. Numbing cream will wear off after a couple hours. Some people swell: some more, some less. There should not be bruising, although some people who are bruisers might!

We do have post-treatment skincare products – made specifically for aftercare purposes of treatments like this – available if interested.

    • Do not rub or massage the area.

    • No hot tubs, saunas, tanning, or sun bathing for 24-48 hours.

    • No exercise for 24-48 hours.

    • Avoid putting on makeup on the treated area for at least 24 hours.

    Over the next few days:
Your skin will likely feel tight. There may still be redness and swelling, but usually subsides by day 2-3.

Some people experience texturing on the skin that feels scaly. Oftentimes patients will find their skin breaks out after a treatment. While rightfully annoying ("this is the opposite of why I got this treatment!!!"), this is totally normal. Think about it: because your skin is regenerating, it's working extra hard to get all the bad stuff out from deep within. That can present itself as acne but should only last a few days.

Continue to keep your skin moisturized and avoid harsh products (chemicals, exfoliatnts, retinals). MAKE SURE YOU'RE WEARING SUNSCREEN.

    7-10 days out:

Redness should be gone, scalyness/texture and/or blemishes should subside. You should be left with slightly tighter, healthier, fresher face! A nice plump face and some balanced skin. We love it.

  • As mentioned above, there will likely be some post-treatment responses: redness, slight swelling, general sensitivity, skin tightness... some people experience scaling on the skin or small breakouts.

This is all very normal, but can vary from person to person, treatment to treatment (if you get multiple treatments, you may respond differently each time!).

But ultimately, the ideal side-effect post-microneedling? Tighter, smoother, more even skin. Not overnight, but soon and for long-term.

  • While you may notice some results from a single microneedling treatment (some plumpness, less fine lines), we do suggest at least 3 treatments to get the greatest results.

We often use Rejuvapen to achieve truly noticeable, longer-lasting results addressing more "serious" concerns (versus a quick glow up treatment like a facial!). Because of the fact these concerns are usually not going to be quick-fixes, we know that a one-time treatment won't reach those hopeful goals.

We recommend treatments every 4-6 weeks, and/or can be done multiple times a year.

  • Heck yes! We can use Rejuvapen microneedling elsewhere on the body, not just your face.

We can address skin tightness/elasticity on the neck, chest, even stomach. And adressing scarring (both their texture and color) is another popular use for microneedling: think, C-section scars, scars from surgery, etc.

If there's something that bothers you in terms of texture or tone on the body, microneedling could help!

For non-face treatments, we definitely require a consultation to discuss goals, educate and set expectations, and collab on a plan. But we'd love to chat with you!

  • Not only are at-home microneedling treatments/tools not nearly as effective, but they're straight up not as safe.

When you book microneedling treatments at an office like Tinytox Collab, you are not only having the treatment performed by an expert who has done the procedure a bajillion times, but she also keeps the environment and the tools properly sanitized.

Every set of needles used in our Rejuvapen wand are factory sealed and not opened until treatment. They are medical grade needles. They are only ever used once.

We get it. It's cheaper (and sometimes more fun) to want to DIY. Self-care, right? But when you purchase at-home tools to perform microneedling on yourself, you are:
    • not in the cleanest environment (when was the last time you cleaned your bathroom counter?)
    • reusing the same needles over and over (= duller, dirtier needs = oww)

Just think about it. We'll be here.
